Talking Mental Health:
This 2-part lesson teaches students about mental health, common mental illnesses, brain development, and how stress impacts their mental health. Students will also identify what prevents someone from reaching out for help regarding their mental health and how to have the difficult, yet important conversation with someone who may be struggling with their mental health.
Mental Health Toolbox:
This is an interactive lesson around wellness, mindfulness, burnout, and self-care. Activities include tools to help students when feeling overwhelmed.
Suicide Awareness & Prevention:
The topic of suicide can be a heavy subject, but an important one that can save a life. Students will identify risk factors and warning signs that lead to suicide, learn personal coping skills, and how to start that conversation to help someone who may be struggling with their mental health.
Bullying & it’s Impact on Mental Health:
Bullying can happen anywhere— school, home, work, and/or community. In fact, 1 in 5 students experience bullying. Bullying & It’s Impact on Mental Health presentation covers the different types of bullying, how it can affect mental health, and how to speak up against it.
Social Media & it’s Impact on Mental Health:
Technology is advancing and improving every day. According to the Surgeon General, we are in a Teen Mental Health Crisis that is linked to the time usage of social media. Social media can influence teen mental health both positively and negatively. In our Social Media & it’s Impact on Mental Health presentation, we teach students, teachers, and parents about the positive and negative effects of social media, how it impacts sleep, learning, and the brain. Learn the importance of having healthy coping skills and boundaries with managing your time spent on social media platforms and gaming.
